Currently, renewable energy is being considered as an inevitable solution and trend of the world energy industry when fossil fuel sources such as coal and oil are increasingly scarce and gradually become exhausted. The reality in Vietnam shows that thermal power causes pollution, hydropower has reached its limit, nuclear power is facing warnings of disasters, so the development of renewable energy is becoming an inevitable trend. Vietnam has particularly great potential for renewable energy sources such as wind power, solar power, and biomass power. According to experts and many international organizations, Vietnam has enough renewable energy sources to build the national electricity industry according to the sustainable energy development scenario.
With the goal of promoting investment resources in the field of renewable energy as well as providing legal solutions in the implementation of renewable energy projects, the Institute of Development Research, the Center for International Integration Support Ho Chi Minh City Economic Cooperation in collaboration with Vietnam International Arbitration Center organized the seminar "Renewable energy: Inevitable trends and solutions to promote future development" with the following contents:
